Bodrum – Hisarönü

Day 1: Bodrum

You can settle in your boats from 15.30. The service starts with dinner and overnight in Bodrum Harbour.

Day 2: Palamutbuku – Inceburun

After breakfast, basic information about the tour programme and the boat is given. Early in the morning we set off towards Palamutbükü. After lunch and swimming break, overnight stay in Inceburun.

Day 3: Aktur – Bencik

After breakfast, we move to Aktur Bay. Our first stop is Bencik Bay, located in the narrowest part of the peninsula separating Hisarönü Bay and Gökova Bay, on the Hisarönü side; It is a special bay with a very narrow entrance, but when you go inwards, you will encounter a unique view. In the 550s BC, the Cnidians wanted to open the narrowest part of the peninsula for one kilometre as a defence line against the Persian army coming to the Datça Peninsula and to unite the Gulf of Gökova with the Gulf of Hisarönü. Thus, the two seas would merge, the peninsula would become a complete island and the defence would be easier. The work started with great efforts, but it was not successful and in the end the Persians owned Cnidos. Dinner and overnight stay in this historical place.

Day 4: Emel Sayin Bay – Orhaniye – Selimiye

After breakfast, anchor at Emel Sayın Bay for a swimming break. Then sail to Orhaniye for lunch. In Orhaniye Bay, the natural structure called “Maiden’s Sand”, which is formed by the rise and fall of the sea water, exhibits an extraordinary appearance. Various legends are told about the reddish sand road that can be walked from the beach into the sea. On an islet in the bay, there are ruins from the ancient period with castle walls. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Dirsekbükü – Bozburun

After breakfast in Dirsekbükü Bay, we will move to Bozburun, a small and charming fishing town for swimming and lunch break. Bozburun coasts were once famous for sponge fishing. Today, sponge fishing has been abandoned by the local people because it does not provide good income and it is a dangerous business with old techniques. Instead, gulet boats have started to be built today.

Day 6: Datca – Knidos

The day starts with travelling towards Datça. Water, provisions etc. needs are supplied. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the harbour of Knidos, a city developed in science, architecture and art in ancient times. The city, which was home to the statue of naked Aphrodite and famous for its brothels in those times, has become a frequent destination for sailors and Arab traders from distant lands. You can take a short walk on the beach to see the ruins of the city.

Day 7: Karaada – Poyraz Port – Bodrum

After sailing towards Karaada in the early hours, anchor at Poyraz Harbour for breakfast and a swimming break. This is a beautiful bay with turquoise waters overlooking the south side of the island. Return to Bodrum Harbour for dinner and overnight stay.
